Finding Myself Without a Camera

I never leave home without a camera, but I loaned Ben my camera battery so that he would have enough for the trip. I have a spare from school that I was going to use, but I just did not remember to put it together, so I am sharing this photo from landscape-photos-for-you.com. I say all of this because I went to Blowing Rock yesterday with my friend Susan to see her friend Christie's house nestled in the mountains. The house is beautiful and quite big. We all ate dinner at Canyons, a restaurant that overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains and specifically Grandfather Mountain. AND yesterday was the longest day of the summer, so the view was amazing and the sunset spectacular! Alas, I have no pictorial reminders. I would like to return to Grandfather Mountain and walk across this really great bridge I hear exists and do some hiking. Maybe I will hike the Appalachian trail.

So I thought it was a pretty good day until I read my boyfriend's email. He is in Turkey and went to a soccer game (where Turkey won) and then a dance and party in an open-air event with free cuisine and drinks and happy, happy people! Plus, a specific nameless girl keeps showing up in a good deal of his pictures. hmph!

So today I am going to finish the laundry, like a month's worth, and try to get somethings done in the house. Overall, a pretty good week.
