The spring semester has started although it still feels like winter wonderland outside. If I wake up in the morning and still want to snuggle under the covers then it is not time to start school yet. It is akin to the groundhog and his shadow. My snuggle meter sets the parameters for semester start dates or so I think it should be that way. My cat Ninja echoes my sentiments.All in all, the semester has started off great. I have met some great students, some new faces and some familiar faces. I am not sure if they registered for the class with me in mind or were surprised to see me.
I am trying to find some time for my own writing and reading for my MFA program, but it is so difficult since I do not want my students to suffer. Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize - part of my new mantra!
