I want to know why spending cuts always include education. Now the military wants the 23 BILLION dollars upfront. They can't "meet payroll." Seriously. Has anyone taken a look at what teachers make? Let me guess. Skip the education. Send them to a military school. That way we can have an army of illiterate, androids who all the think the same, look the same and fight the same.
'"Defense Deputy Secretary William Lynn detailed to members of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense the snowball effect a year-long continuing resolution would have on the military. Lynn said DoD would end up "robbing Peter to pay Paul."' How sad for you. I support those in the military, and I covet the freedoms I enjoy, but I do not support the constant spending on weapons and the like. I do not support taking money from the elderly or the young in order to further fuel war or conflict, regardless of motivation.
