I'm an old cowhand . . .

Being back in Texas has made me appreciate a few things from my childhood. I can't say I enjoyed growing up so much. What I did enjoy though was country music, State Fair corny dogs, bluebonnets, horseback riding, Austin, and schlitterbahn. Now I have not been able to partake in all of my favorites, but I am on a mission to do just that.

In any case, since I was feeling nostalgic, I started sorting through my hundreds of negatives and pictures. Yes, on occasion I still like using film. I found a photo of me in Qatar, grooming Sampson, the horse I rode while taking English riding lessons. I loved that horse even after he bucked me off, I cracked my tailbone and developed sciatica. Ouch!

So nothing ground-breaking here. Just thought I'd share my love of horses.
