Seeking something more...

So the new year is under way, but to me, it is the same old year all over. I took a job that said they wanted something new, but really just wanted someone to keep up appearances; rent and not own ($10,200.00 and no equity); no dog; live alone - sigh!

But I got up this morning and decided that today was going to be my 1st of January and that I was going to play catch up with the year. I am nearly debt free (not too bad since that has really been a goal of mine for a while); I have a few prospects for a new job (all of which I am actually excited about); I see light at the end of the semester tunnel (that is a sunny beach and not the "final peace" light); and I just looked at the blog and work of one of my best and brightest students. I realized: One, I am blessed; Two, I have inspired students to seek out their passions; and Three, I have plenty of time left to have a dog, house and more. I just don't want to waste one day of a life that God so apparently has been molding for greater things.
