Why do political pundits always say things like "Mitt Romney has done more for the economy than the current president." Has Mitt Romney been the president? Not that good 'old party switching Mitt couldn't do a decent job, I guess, but does anyone, like Joe American, ever consider what it means to be the President of the United States? It does not seem that any other countries know any better how to choose a leader either when you look at the state of affairs abroad in the EU for example. And how about France with their new socialist leader?

What Americans need to do is think about what they really want in the long run. It has been a two-party system, regardless of independents and write-ins, forever. How about restructuring the whole way the government is run completely? It is more than one person at work in our Administration. We could just ask for a clean-sweep and start from scratch. I say that we require a sort of "final exam" for each voter prior to anyone being able to vote. That way, each potential voter would have to study up on the candidates independently, do some critical thinking, and come up with some valid reasons why they choose their candidate.

I'd like to see an informed public instead of one being led around by their noses.
