saddle time

I have been trying to get in as much saddle time as I can, but now I just realized that the march in Austin is the same day as my first scheduled ride. Oh well. It wasn't that much to register, and all the proceeds go to the Sacred Heart School. The Metric Century Bicycle Rally  is supposed to have a 100K course with some steep inclines and such. I really wanted to have a more leisurely ride to test my endurance, but I am not willing to give up marching for women's rights though. I was looking forward to the whole German Fest thing. I will just have to keep pacing myself, waiting for the Cross Timbers Classic Bike Rally. I am pushing for that 100 miles. Cannot do all of it yet (pushing 65 miles), and I crashed my bike out at White Rock, so I am waiting for it to get "patched up," but it will only be a few more days. I figure if I run enough, I will make up for no saddle time. HA! Just want to be as fit as I can, be at my peak, gotta fight the fight. Plus, Hotter N' Hell, Livestrong Challenge and Lone Star Ride are all coming up faster than I can train. I don't just want to make it through; I want to finish in record time (for me) and still be able to move (on my own).

Just an aside: Those of you who are joining the Jailbreak team, we will start training April 23rd. Woot!
